Where it all started...As a camping family we frequented a campground in PA about 35 mins from home where we made many friends over the 10 or 12 yrs period we camped there. I met a family in 2008 who also were campers there, I saw them walking a little chocolate lab puppy that was just a cute little chunky thing. As my heart melted, I finally had enough and stopped them one day walking him as they passed our campsite and inquired where they got the puppy. She told us it was the parents of one of her students, I asked if they had anymore puppies and she said no, but would take my number and let me know when they had another litter.... That she did. 


One year later, on a Friday evening, we all headed out to meet the breeders to get a  puppy and yes, it was love at first site! So, that first puppy turned into two puppies, a brother and sister we named Marley and Daisy. 12 yrs later, we are happy to report, they are still a part of our family. In the early 80's I bred Cocker Spaniels and it was just something I really enjoyed, regardless of the commitment and time involved. So as Ms. Daisy reached 2 yrs old I reflected back to those days and decided I might like to do that again.. so I started searching for a good stud with good linage and found one. That's when the Windy Ridge Labradors NY journey began, here we are in our 9th yr and very proud of the quality puppies we work so hard to produce, puppies we put into homes to bring love and happiness to a family, or a Sportsman for his hunting companion and best buddy. Over this 9 years it has been a great experience to learn so much more and gain the knowledge not only from my own research, but knowledge shared with me by other breeders and professionals in the breeding community ...  I am so thankful and greatly appreciate those individuals. It is my goal to continue learning and educating myself with the best that's out there to bring to you a life of happiness and companionship with a Windy Ridge NY Lab.
